J-$crilla's "Culture of Honor" paired some of the DMV's finest (K-Beta, Diamond District's X.O. and many more) with established names from other areas like Cassidy and JR Writer. Due to some scheduling conflicts, The Package were not able to make it onto the "Culture of Honor" album, but their collaborative effort, J-$crilla's rock-hard remix of "The Drug" (off of ThePackage's acclaimed debut album, "New Golden Era"), is the first teaser track to be leaked from "Double R: Remixes and Rarities", an album of remixes and unreleased cuts from The Package that will be made available later this fall for free download.
Till then, check out "The Drug (J-$crilla)" for your first taste of the uncut dope to come!

J-$crilla is the epitome of the obsessive, over-driven producer. To say he’s “prolific” doesn’t even begin to do justice to the work ethic this VA/DC-based DJ/producer has. Kid’s always got something going on; whether it is the myriad of mixtapes he’s produced or the beats he concocts. Since the late 90s $crilla has been out there putting in work without the benefit of any kind of major label support. His impetus is the relentless drive and passion he has for the music and the culture. He started by promoting parties and hitting up the college circuits; just putting himself out there and getting things done.
