Look, I'm going to keep this brief. I support my area colleagues who are about advancing the DMV music scene to MAKE MONEY and simutaneously ADVANCE THE CRAFT of music. The DMV Awards are still in their infancy and many know that I've been an outspoken individual about the way this award show has been handled the past few years. I have been reassured by members of the committee that changes have been made this year. So, therefore, I am posting this press release on Inner Loop's blog to show our support of this years award show.

Inner Loop is not about soliciting for any awards, acknowledgements, accolades or any other ego-driven lists. If any artist is nominated or crowned, then "thank you." Inner Loop is not going to promote this show to our base with "VOTE FOR ME" T-Shirts or blast you with texts/tweets and e-mails telling you of our accomplishments. We appreciate your continued support.

- J-Scrilla (Inner Loop Records)

One year ago DJBooth launched its partner site RefinedHype.com, and we’re proud to say that the response has been beyond anything we could have imagined. As a thank you to all the fans, artists, promoters and bartenders who have supported our mission over the past year, we’ve put together an all-exclusive mixtape, which we’ve perhaps not-so-cleverly titled RefinedHype: 1 Year Anniversary Edition (hey, at least it’s direct).

Mixed by former Best of the Booth Vol. 1 creator DJ Critical Hype, 1 Year Anniversary features brand new cuts from some of the emcees who frequented our pages heavily over the past 365 days, including K. Sparks, K. Beta, The Black Sunn, Mike Schpitz, King Mez, Dominique Larue and many, many more.

To the artists who contributed to the mixtape, the hundreds of others who’ve shared their dopeness on the site, the fans and the countless others who’ve supported RefinedHype, thank you. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the second year.

Scrilla Disclaimer: Inner Loop is posting this list simply for entertainment purposes. We don't agree or disagree with anything on here. We have zero input (where's the Low Budget love?) and we will continue just to post as Month Betta sends in his updates. We are simply hosting the list and the final 64 bracket which we assume Month Betta will update at his own pace. You can follow Month Betta @iammaurice on twitter and make sure you follow @innerlooprec to keep up with the list updates. Month Betta has no affilaition with Inner Loop other than the fact that he calls us Enter Loop and hates Virginia. Feel free to leave comments.
